TOP BILLING EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS THURSDAY, 23 JULY 2026 AT 19:00

Tonight on Top Billing, Jonathan Boynton-Lee steps inside a city penthouse that’s anything but ordinary. More than a home, it’s a gallery and the living autobiography of a man whose remarkable journey has taken him from the Caribbean and Africa to the fascinating world of tribal art, where he’s built an international reputation as a collector, dealer and exhibitor.

Michael Mol heads to the rugged coastline of the Eastern Cape, where one of South Africa’s most iconic lighthouses has stood as a beacon of hope for more than 150 years.

As we mark the birth month of our former president, we spend time with Zelda la Grange, whose years alongside Nelson Mandela gave her a front row seat to one of the world’s most respected leaders. Through her reflections, we gain a rare glimpse into the values, humility and humanity that continue to inspire generations long after Madiba’s legacy was forged.

To round off the show, we explore the fascinating world behind one of Mexico’s most celebrated exports. Beyond the familiar lies a rich tradition of craftsmanship, culture and flavour, revealing there’s far more to tequila than meets the eye.

That’s Top Billing, this Thursday evening at 7PM on S3, with repeats on Sundays at 1pm on S3 and rebroadcast on Tuesdays at 9:30pm on SABC1 or stream on SABC+.
