FROM BOX TO FORTUNE DEAL OR NO DEAL UK TO BROADCAST ON S3.

Johannesburg, 6 August 2025S3 announces the launch of one of the most exciting and iconic game shows of all time, Deal or No Deal UK, on Thursdays and Fridays at 21:00, starting 7 August 2025.

Alongside television presenter, magician, entertainer, and comedian Stephen Mulhern as the host, each episode will introduce a brave new contestant taking on the infamous Banker for the chance to win a life-changing cash prize of £100,000.00

There are 22 sealed red boxes, each one hiding a different amount of money. The player must eliminate the boxes as they are opened one at a time, without knowing what is inside each box or the amount of money revealed.

Pressure mounts as, after each round of box opening, the player gets tempted by the notorious Banker to accept an offer of cash in exchange for what might be inside their box. But will the player say ‘Deal’ or ‘No Deal’ when faced with an offer from The Banker? As long as the larger cash prizes remain undiscovered and on the game board, the Banker’s offers will get higher, but that can all change in an instant if large amounts are exposed.

If the player accepts an offer and says ‘Deal’, they continue and choose to open the remaining boxes as they would have done. But in the end, did they beat The Banker and take an offer greater than what was inside their box all along? Or did they say ‘No Deal’ only to be left with 1p?

Open Up to Deal or No Deal UK – Thursdays and Fridays @ 21:00, only on S3.

(Strange Fruit)

Found hanging from a tree was heavily pregnant 28-year-old Tshegofatso Pule in 2020.  A case that galvanized the nation in collective outrage, discovering that her partner, Ntuthuko Shoba, orchestrated her brutal killing.  A determined police captain made it his mission to bring the culprits to book.

When primary school teacher Allison Plaatjies is found savagely murdered in her Clanwilliam flat, her boyfriend, Phillip April, becomes an immediate suspect. But was this mild-mannered former Head boy of his High School capable of such a crime? The arrest of celebrated artist and photographer Zwelethu Mthethwa in 2014 for the brutal murder of a twenty-three-year-old sex worker, Nokuphila Kumalo, shocked South Africa.
