Johannesburg, 9 September 2024<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 SABC Video Entertainment congratulates the nominees of the 2024 South African Film and Television Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SABC scored 39 nominations in the 2024 South African Film and Television Awards, with S3 receiving 11 nominations, SABC2 with 12 nominations and SABC1 leading the pack with 16 nominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In honouring the late Joseph Tshabalala for his contribution to South African democracy, SABC1 broadcasted a documentary, Music is My Life: The Story of Joseph Tshabalala, nominated in two categories, Best Achievement in Directing \u2013 Documentary and Best Documentary Feature. The notable nominations obtained from the channel include The Best TV Soap for Skeem Saam, Best Variety Show for Sport @10, and a Best Structured Or Docu-Reality Show nomination received by Reno Race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the SABC2 front, among the nominations is The Khoekhoe Saga, which debuted in January 2023. Presenter Jolene Martins is nominated in the Public Voting Category for Best TV Presenter, congratulations on the nomination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Masked Singer on S3 received nominations in the Best International Format category, and the host, Mpho Popps, is in the running to be voted the Best TV Presenter by the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The viewers can vote for their favourite TV Presenters and their favourite Soap or Telenovela with the voting line opening today, 9 September 2024, until 21 October 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
