A team of experts follows herds of wild animals as they travel long distances to look for better feeding pastures and breeding grounds, and escape the harsh weather and food scarcity. Natures Great Migrations is broadcast on Sundays at 18:30 on SABC 3

Natures Great Migrations is about to follow the world’s greatest migrations and reveal their secrets in a way that’s never been done before. All over the world animals are on the move. On journeys that their lives depend upon, migrating to find food, to give birth or to escape danger. To reach their destination they must travel hundreds of miles through some of the most inhospitable wilderness in the world. Their drive, stronger than the obstacles in their path. For the first time, ground-breaking science allows a specialist team to follow these migrations more closely than ever before and understand them in unprecedented depth.

The series focuses on three animals - Elephant, Caribou and Zebras using technology to track down their migrations.
