The Longest Date Top 3 Couples
And then there were three left
Over the past 13 weeks we’ve witnessed 16 ordinary, single South Africans on an epic journey - a Journey to face their fears in gruelling challenges and ultimately … a journey to find love and claim the grand prize of one hundred thousand rand.
On the season premiere, hosted by Christopher Jaftha the contestants were surprised by how gruelling the terrain was, they experienced shock, delight and dismay when they were paired in the Couple Match. The newly matched couples faced their first challenge and it was more extreme than they bargained for - it was couple vs. wild.
In tonight’s episode, we see Bumps in the road… It’s the final three couples and they are about to face an incredibly difficult challenge. With all of them so close to the finale, tempers flare. There's the smell of treachery in the air as secrets are spilled. It’s time to pony up and reveal who's keeping it real.
The Top 3 couples of The Longest Date include:
HomeBaker/ Aeronautical engineer Joedy Ramjith (JHB) and Lifestyle Blogger & Vlogger Ruan Scheepers (KZN); Stuntwoman Lana Katz (CPT) and Fitness instructor Lindelani Mqwa (JHB) and last but most definitely not least are Martial Artist Daniel Senoamadi (JHB) and Lecturer Sive Vaaltein (EC).
When asked how it felt making it to the Top 3, Joedy said, “It is amazing to be part of the Top 3, and this proves that anyone can achieve anything if they put their mind to it, no matter your sexual orientation or background.”
For Ruan it was taking a walk down memory, “This experience has been the best I have ever endured! Firstly anything is possible when you put your mind at ease and motivate yourself mentally and physically that you can get through any challenge. Never in a million years did I think I would be able to face so many fears all at once, and might I say I nailed it! But most importantly I learnt to trust a complete stranger who helped me get this far in the competition. And the amount of friends I have made on the show.”
“I would like to end off by saying be true to yourself always, love is love, it has no gender, race and it comes in all forms, shapes, sizes. Don’t let anyone ever define your character and enjoy each and every day as it comes. You are all loved,” he concluded.
Who will be eliminated in tonight’s episode and who will make it to the finals… To find out tune into The Longest Date, 29th April at 19:30 only on SABC 3, “The Stage Is Yours.”
