For a small city the turnout was outstanding with aspirant males coming from as far as Ladysmith and Kimberley. The talent was as colourful and vibrant as the city’s fashion sense, with the likes of Pule Ndaba and Angelo Mockie being chosen as the region’s finalists.

It was an amazing experience for both the search team and the ambitious undiscovered actors and certainly set the tone for the next four regions that our team will be visiting.

We loved Bloem and believe that this small city will definitely produce some of the best talent this country will see.

Port Elizabeth

Next stop was in the friendly city of Port Elizabeth – the hopefuls in this region were dressed the part and definitely looked as if they had just popped out of a TV scene.

The venue was the City Hall and according to the region’s SABC staff members some of the hopefuls were too eager to wait for the 10th of February and decided to camp outside the SABC offices to be the first to jet off to the City Hall and charm the panel. Sean McNamara and Christian Troy are best friends and business partners. Sean is a family man who is always trying to improve his marriage, which is falling apart, and his strained relationship with his son, Matt. Christian, on the other hand, is the definition of playboy. He is single, charming, and a sexual predator. Together these two men are the best plastic surgery team in Florida, and their lives create endless drama.

This cultural phenomenon reveals the lives of Dr. Sean McNamara and Dr. Christian Troy, two plastic surgeons, best friends and business partners who run McNamara/Troy, a South Beach plastic surgery practice. The men share a love for the same woman, Julia McNamara, and they seek personal happiness and professional success in different ways. The themes of youth, beauty and perfection found in "Nip/Tuck" are universal, considering how society views aging as a shameful curse, physical imperfections a grave embarrassment and Botox a vital necessity. The series has fueled the debate about cosmetic surgery, what it can and cannot bring to a patient's life, and our continued quest for true contentment.\

Meet the cast:

Dylan Walsh as Dr. Sean McNamara
Walsh's first role was in a television movie called Soldier Boys with James Earl Jones. The series acknowledge this through its strong interaction with various local communities at culturally and historically important settlements such as Riemvasmaak, Pella, Eksteenfontein, Carnarvon, Victoria West, etc.

Airs:
17 January 2010 19:30
24 January 2010 19:30
31 January 2010 19:30
07 February 2010 19:30
14 February 2010 19:30
21 February 2010 19:30
28 February 2010 19:30
Fri, 29 Jan 2010 09:14:10 +0200 http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7569 Wimbledon http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7517 In just two summer weeks, Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) a British tennis player who was ranked 119th in the world, and generally considered to be on his last legs as a professional player, gets his one last chance to win both the All-England Lawn Tennis Championships on the grassy courts of Wimbledon... and the heart of the rising star Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst) "bad girl of tennis" as well...

Airs:
05 February 2010 19:30
Tue, 26 Jan 2010 13:54:12 +0200 http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7517 The First of May http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7515 An unwanted boy (Dan Byrd) and a forgotten old lady (Julie Harris) find running away to join the circus is really coming home.

Airs:
31 January 2010 15:00
Tue, 26 Jan 2010 12:37:19 +0200 http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7515 Ugly Betty Omnibus http://www.sabc3.co.za/shows/7513
Episode 4 – “Swag”
When Christine announces she’s getting ready to clean out “the closet,” Mode’s repository of high fashion clothes and accessories, the assistants whip themselves into a frenzy over who will get the cast-off swag.
